Shivani participated in a high-level roundtable discussion, “Increasing Women’s Workforce Participation in India”, hosted by the World Bank Group (WBG). The discussion, was chaired by Ms. Mamta Murthi, Vice President at WBG, and focused on gender-lens investing, women’s leadership, and access to capital within India’s PE–VC ecosystem. She highlighted India Alternatives’ approach to embedding gender inclusion across investment themes, portfolio governance, and leadership development, while also sharing practical examples from portfolio companies and industry initiatives. Her participation reinforced the firm’s commitment to responsible investing and positioned India Alternatives as an active contributor to conversations shaping inclusive growth and women’s economic participation in India.
