Darshan joined India Alternatives in 2015 after completing the India Alternatives summer internship program in 2014. He has since been promoted four times. Darshan has played an important role during the lifecycle of Fund I. He has led investments in marquee companies such as NSDL and TransUnion CIBIL (Fund II), co-led investment in NSE, worked on the TransUnion CIBIL (Fund I) and Ideacount investment. Additionally, Darshan has closely monitored all these investments and led stellar exits from NSDL and TransUnion CIBIL. He has also secured an exit from Ideacount.

Darshan plays an instrumental role in the Fund Raising team at India Alternatives, which was recognized with the prestigious “PE Fund Raise of the Year” award at APEX 2021, PE - VC Summit & Awards by Venture Intelligence.

Darshan was recognized as “40 under 40 alternative investment professionals in India” by Equalifi in 2024.

Previously, Darshan has worked with Edelweiss Financial Services for 3 years, gaining expertise across Investments and Trading, and Risk Management verticals.

Darshan is an MBA (MDI Gurgaon), a CFA Charterholder (CFA Institute, USA) and a Certified FRM (GARP, USA). He completed his Bachelors in Management Studies from Mumbai University.

He shares India Alternatives’ mission of promoting gender diversity and represents India Alternatives in IFC’s India Gender Collaborative initiative.

Darshan enjoys playing poker and chess as well as trying out new restaurants.
